The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has again lost the speaker of the Bauchi state House of Assembly, Abdulmumini Bala Fanti, two other lawmakers and a senatorial aspirant to the opposition Peoples Redemption Party ( PRP).

Daily Trust names the lawmakers that defected to the PRP as Ibrahim Bello Katagum and Yusuf C Nuhu, who won the recent by-election for Toro federal constituency on the platform of the APC.
The report also mentioned the Bauchi South APC senatorial aspirant as Barrister Lawan Ibrahim.
Alhaji Shehu Barau Ningi, the chairman of PRP in Bauchi state, confirmed the defection of the lawmakers.
