The 2018 World Cup winner was stripped of vice captaincy by his Portuguese handler and at some point it was as clear as day the ex-Juventus player's performance was being affected.
According to Evening Standard (UK), despite links with a move to Barcelona in January or at the end of the season, Pogba maintains there is nowhere he would rather be more than Old Trafford.
"When I came back to United, it was the best feeling ever," he said.
"I came back home. I always dreamed of playing for United, to have many games and score goals. Nothing had really changed, except for maybe the team and the manager, but the rest of the club was the same," the 25-year-old said.
Pogba described his return to Manchester after leaving Juventus in 2016, was as if he was coming back home and said the feeling of love in the air has never changed for him.
"I just came back home, it was like I didn't really leave - I just went on holiday. It was a great feeling to come back home," Pogba said.
Mino Raiola, the Frenchman's agent, confirmed Pogba's stance and assured United fans that his client was much better now having patched up his differences with his manager.
"He has patch up his rapport with Jose Mourinho and is calmer now. He feels important to Manchester United," super agent Raiola said.
Pogba's absence from the Manchester derby on Sunday that ended 3-1 to City just goes to show the importance of the midfielder to the team in terms of spirit, morale and class.
The Red Devils talisman has been key in the majority of United's unbelievable comebacks so far this season.
