According to Daily Trust, the posters bearing Lamido's picture were
pasted at strategic areas of the secretariat right from the entrance.
It was also gathered that some members of the party were also wearing
branded T-shirts with inscription 'Lamido for 2019'.
Lamido 2019 presidency project was said to be championed by some
northerners who were PDP members in Lagos state.
One of them, Hassan Mohammed, an official of the party at Ikeja Ward I
said they were calling on Lamido to contest because they believed he
had the capacity to rule the country.

Mohammed said: "We have seen his performance as governor of Jigawa
state for eight years. He is indeed a man of the people and he has
that pedigree and reputations to fly the party's flag come 2019."
However, the Lagos PDP distanced itself from the posters, saying it
had not endorsed any candidate for 2019.
This was disclosed by the party's spokesman Taofik Gani.
CAMPUSNAIJA.info recalls that Sule Lamido had last year said he will
contest for presidency on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party
(PDP) in 2019.
Lamido announced this while briefing journalists in his village
Bamaina in Birnin-Kudu local government area of Jigawa state.
However, he noted that the presidential ticket was not given to
anybody on the platter of gold, stressing that a candidate must earn
it.
Also just recently, Siyasa Akida Network Nigeria, a Northern based
political group urged Lamido to contest 2019 presidency.
According to the group, the ex-governor has the capacity to salvage
the country from drifting.
